Professor Alicia Walker, History of Art, Bryn Mawr College, leads a conversation concerning the intersections between medieval and contemporary movement of peoples across borders, nations, and cultural contexts in the Middle East. Positioning art objects as points of contact, migration, and dispersal, her conversation will include case studies from the Byzantine and Medieval eras in dialogue with Tania El Khoury’s performative installations.
